Jockey Jacob Johansen and Brownie from start till finish in Copehagen Mile
After winning with lead-up Christel Preuthun
It was a fantastic result for Maltho who was 2nd. with Elione Chaves in the irons
Miler races and upwards is really “my thing”. Don’t ask me why, but that has always been so. So of course I was into this race anyway, apart from the fact, that our stable (Bechmann Racing) had two horses in it – The Kicker and Valtournanche (ITY). I had to write that as Bettina Andersen Racing also had two horses there – Footstepsofspring (FR) and Maltho who was 2nd.
The one trusted in the programme Irish Rock (IRE) was last and Danish Design who was tipped 2nd. was just outside the money. Valtrournanche (ITY) was just one step up from Irish Rock (IRE) meaning 2nd. last and of course The Kicker, who always does well, was 3rd.
So of course it had to be one not mentioned winning. It was Brownie (FR) who came out the best and very convincingly. Jacob Johansen was just sitting there and then he gave marching orders and he was closely followed by Maltho and The Kicker after Footstepsofspring and Valtournanche had been in front until they came into the straight. They finished in that order.
Brownie (Sunday Break-Tropical Mark) is bred in France, Trained by Bent Olsen and owned by Lone Kaj-Nielsen and was ridden by Jacob Johansen
